I have been trying to set up all my work computers so they can take advantage of Microsoft Voice Recogbition and I am using the Andrea Electronics USB-MA USB sound card and recently had several computers in my work place experience issues with the USB-MA not being automatically installed on Windows 7 machines. When they plug it in, they get an error message saying it was not successfully installed, and it is not visible in the recording devices menu. I also have one computer trying to use the USB-MA adapter with an ASUS Sabretooth X79 motherboard, and the system would not only not recognize it properly, but would not boot with the adapter installed in any of the USB ports. I know these situations are very difficult to resolve because of the number of variables involved.
It's basically the Netflix of gaming, where you can play any title within the PlayStation Now library as long as you have fairly speedy Wi-Fi. All the PlayStation Now titles are stored in the online cloud, meaning all that boring stuff happens in the background. Ps3 takes long to download game. The benefits of this are that you won't have to wait for the PS3 titles to install or update.
I've tried a number of things, such as uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, force installing the driver from MS Update Catalog, different USB ports, hubs, etc. but the only thing that seems to work is to uninstall the Generic USB Hub and USB Root Hub and then reboot the system.
I might add that this issue has arisen with other USB products as well, such as a Bluetooth Adapter and a wireless mouse. Is this something new? Is anybody having similar issues? Is there a simpler fix? Is this something that Microsoft should investigate further?
Any insight as to the how or why this happens or to an easier way to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
